Personality/Background:

• Tear is both an orphan and a solider. She lost her parents when she was very, very young. Tear grew up in the Qliphoth, a world full of miasma located beneath Auldrant. She also grew up listening to her brother rant about Various Things.

• Tear is a descendant of Yulia, and thus can sing the fonic hymns. She's worked on these for a very long time. Tear trained under Major Legretta, one of her brother's subordinates. She is also a Seventh Fonist, which is very unique--she can heal.

• Near the beginning of canon, Tear finds out that Van wants to do some Very Bad Things. Thus, she travels up to Auldrant in an attempt to stop him. She makes it into the fon Fabre mansion, but a hyperresonance between her and Van's student Luke spirits her away to Tataroo Valley.

• Tear promises to take Luke back home to Baticul, but she finds herself in a strange new kingdom, facing a queen who promises her something...

As a soldier, Tear tends to internalize a lot of things. She puts forth a cold front, and firmly believes that soldiers should not weep. Tear has trouble expressing her emotions--she thinks it's unfitting of a soldier. Unfortunately, said cold front makes her seem unapproachable or even harsh. She doesn't pull her punches; this is likely due to her upbringing--Tear's had minimal social contact with anyone outside the Qliphoth.

Tear is also very determined. She tends to not give up until she reaches her goal, and she tends to concentrate very carefully on it. Tear also believes that soldiers should do their best to protect civilians, and if she doesn't, that means she'll have failed. Tear is devoted, too; she'll see her mission through to the end.

However! Tear does have a soft side. She loves cute things and she gets embarrassed when attention is called to her body. She's also terribly afraid of ghosts and anything spooky. And despite her fixation on stopping Van... Tear truly does care about him. Also despite her cold front, when Tear cares about someone or something, her devotion is unwavering.

Yes, I would. Killing is a necessary part of being a soldier--unavoidable, and it's foolish to believe that it's not.

Strength, whether over one's emotions or the strength to protect people and what one loves.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My powerlessness. Had I been more capable, perhaps things with my brother would have turned out differently.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I... suppose having my family, together and healthy, would make me happiest. And cute little cheagles and rappigs...

What are you most proud of about your life?

My time as a soldier is one in which I take great pride in. I've worked hard to get as far as I have, and it's not an accomplishment to take lightly.
